“He was an easy going child with reddish brown hair, freckles and big blue eyes” These were words were written about me by my father many years ago when I was just a child. Though the hair is less (& less red) and the freckles less obvious, my blue eyes are still big and in awe at the beauty and wonder I see in everything . I was born an artist. God created me that way and gave me a great and precious gift. To be able to use my creativity and passion in a way that allows me to share in the lives of those around me. It is simply amazing. Photography is more than a job. It is the incredible creative outlet that lets me share in memories and moments and celebrations in the lives of many.
Eugene H. Peterson once wrote:
“The great masters of imagination do not make things out of thin air; they direct our attention to what is right before our eyes. With their help we see it not as commonplace but as magnificent, not as timeworn but as timeless.”
My love for photography began in high school but it took years before I realized that it was “This” that I was made for. My camera is the amazing tool that allows me to share in life’s greatest celebrations and to become a part of the bigger story that is Life.
